Outside.in is looking for a new design chief. You will be responsible for setting the design vision for outside.in, as well as on the ever-widening network of sites for which outside.in creates and delivers content.

The sheer scope of this position is remarkable. As outside.in continues to redefine the way in which users interact with their location and their news, our new designer will sit at the forefront of designing this fundamental interaction.

All the usual design skill requirements apply. The right candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience. More than anything else, the best candidates will have a clear and imaginative vision for the direction that outside.in should be taking.

Technical skills

– Demonstrable experience designing information-rich web sites
– Photoshop, Illustrator, Omnigraffle
– Detailed understanding of capabilities and limitations of latest web technologies (HTML, AJAX, CSS)
– Impeccable ability to create and articulate interaction designs from wire frames to finished designs
